Rules & Regulations
- Closed seasons
- Bluefin tuna: October 14 to June 15. Beach fishing Balearics: May 1 to September 30 only, 7am-10pm
- Catch limits
- Maximum 5 kg per day, unless a single fish exceeds this weight
- Prohibited methods
- Spearfishing with harpoons regulated in certain areas
- Catch & Release
- Protected species must be returned to the sea immediately (even if dead). Affected: bluefin tuna, albacore, bigeye tuna, swordfish, spearfish, garfish, sailfish, hake, red sea bream
