- No general closed seasons. Aqaba Marine Park: Restrictions.
- Catch limits
- Moderate limits. Reef fish: Protection in marine parks.
- Prohibited methods
- Speargfishing in the Marine Park prohibited. Dynamite prohibited.
- Catch & Release
- Increasingly with GT. Recommended in the Marine Park.
Aqaba lies at the northernmost point of the Red Sea. Corals right up to the shore! Diving + fishing can be combined.

Jordan River (too polluted/small). Dead Sea: No fish (too salty!). No freshwater fishing.

26 km Red Sea coast in Aqaba. Small but fine! Warm, clear water.

Best season: April-November. GT: Summer. Tuna: Autumn. Winter: Cool but possible.

- Charter boats provide equipment. Fishing shops in Aqaba.

- Aqaba Charter: 150-400 JOD/day (~200-550 EUR). Shore Guide: 50-100 JOD.
- Transport
- Flights to Amman or Aqaba direct. Rental car. Petra and Wadi Rum as combination!
- Safety
- Very safe country (one of the safest in the Middle East). Heat in summer.
- Customs & taking fish home
- Visa-free upon arrival at the airport or Jordan Pass (incl. Petra!). Fishing equipment allowed.
