- For reef fishing: 6-7 ft saltwater rod for 20-50 lb line, 4000-6000 reel, 40-65 lb braided line with fluorocarbon leader. Baits: squid and live shrimp. Most charters provide equipment.

- Fishing guides available for daily trips. Sport fishing charters in Bali: half-day trip 150-300 USD. Multi-day liveaboard (7 nights, Raja Ampat): 3,000-5,000 USD.
