Murchison Falls is one of Africa's most powerful waterfalls — the entire Nile squeezes through a 7m wide gap! Directly below: Giant Nile perch.

Freshwater

Nile source, Lake Victoria, Lake Albert. All freshwater with giant Nile perch.

Saltwater

No access to the sea (landlocked).

Equipment

Lodges provide heavy tackle for Nile perch. Own rods recommended.

Guides

Murchison Lodge: 300-600 USD/day. Lake Victoria: 100-250 USD/day.

Getting there

Flights to Entebbe. Small planes to Murchison (1h). Or drive (5-6h).
