No fixed annual closed seasons. July/August often too hot for charter operations. Whale sharks are strictly protected year-round.

Strict recommendation for 100% catch and release on all sport fish species.

Dynamite fishing, poison and spearfishing are strictly prohibited and illegal.

Direct flights to Djibouti-Ambouli via Paris, Dubai or Addis Ababa. Transfer to remote camps by 4x4.
Safety
The city is safe. During expeditions, extreme heat (up to 50°C) is the greatest danger. Sufficient drinking water is vital.
