- Closed seasons
- Pike: February-April. Catfish: May-June. Sturgeon: Protected year-round! Trout: October-March.
- Catch limits
- Pike: 3/day. Catfish: 2/day. Zander: 3/day. Carp: 3/day. Sturgeon: ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN (protected)!
- Prohibited methods
- Live baitfish prohibited. Night fishing regionally restricted.
- Catch & Release
- Mandatory for all sturgeon species! Increasingly for predatory fish.
The Danube Delta is a labyrinth of channels, lakes and reeds. House sturgeon (Beluga sturgeon) still live here — strictly protected! Catfish, pike and zander in abundance.
