- Trout: October-March. Grayling: February-May. Carp: Partial spring closed season.
- Catch limits
- Trout: 3-5/day. Carp in Lake Skadar: Moderate limits. Observe minimum sizes.
- Prohibited methods
- Dynamite, poison, electrofishing prohibited. Live baitfish often restricted.
- Catch & Release
- Increasingly accepted, especially for trout and grayling.
The Tara Gorge (UNESCO) has one of the purest rivers in Europe. Trout and grayling in crystal-clear water!

- Safe travel destination. Mountain roads are winding and narrow. Tara rafting: Only with an experienced guide.
