Rules & Regulations

Closed seasons
Marble trout: October-March (closed season). Brown trout: Varies. Grayling: January-May.
Catch limits
Marble trout: Strictly limited or C&R only. Rainbow trout: 3-5/day. Grayling: Often C&R.
Prohibited methods
On the Soca and many rivers: ONLY fly fishing! Worms and spinners often prohibited.
Catch & Release
Mandatory for marble trout on many stretches. Recommended for all salmonids.

The Soca is one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe — turquoise, crystal-clear water! Many stretches are Fly-Only. Marble trout up to 120 cm and 25 kg possible!
