- Closed seasons
- Pike: January-April. Zander: March-May. Catfish: January-May. Trout: September-January.
- Catch limits
- Pike: 2/day, minimum size 50 cm. Zander: 2/day, 50 cm. Catfish: 1/day, 70 cm.
- Prohibited methods
- Live baitfish often prohibited. Night fishing restricted at many waters.
- Catch & Release
- Increasingly common. Mandatory for certain species at some waters.
Poland offers excellent predator fishing at affordable prices. The Masurian Lake District has over 2,000 lakes!

- Flights to Warsaw or Gdansk. Rental car recommended. Good highways, slower in rural areas.
- Safety
- Very safe country. Mosquitoes at lakes in summer. Ice fishing: Check ice thickness!
