- Catch limits
- Huchen: Usually mandatory catch and release! Trout: 3-5/day. Grayling: Often C&R.
- Prohibited methods
- On Huchen stretches: Often artificial lures only. Dynamite is forbidden.
- Catch & Release
- Mandatory for Huchen on most waters! Recommended for all salmonids.
The Neretva is legendary for its Huchen population! Marble trout are also native here. The rivers are of spectacular beauty.

- Flights to Sarajevo. Rental car (mountainous roads!). Bus between cities.

- A safe country. HOWEVER: Landmines from the war remain in remote areas! Use only marked paths!

- Non-EU member. Visa-free for EU citizens (90 days). Fishing gear is cleared for transit without issues.
