- 50 questions (5 subjects × 10, one correct answer of three), 120 min, on paper; pass with at least 7/10 in every subject (≥35/50); no practical part; 4 statewide dates per year (1st Friday of Mar/Jun/Sep/Dec)

- Exam from 13 (uncertain after the 2026 reform), license from 14; youth license abolished by the 2026 law – minors ~7–17 fish accompanied
